Renovations are underway on the future Saint Pius X Seminary in downtown Scranton.<\/p>\n<p>The former Cathedral Convent building will serve as a home for men beginning their journey toward the priesthood.<\/p>\n<p>The future seminary is part of the diocese&#8217;s mission to prepare the next generation of priests by providing a place for prayer, study, and formation.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ylk=\"slk:Pleasant day in store for northeast, central Pennsylvania;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aol.com\/news\/pleasant-day-store-northeast-central-104118523.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Pleasant day in store for northeast, central Pennsylvania\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Right now, in northeastern Pennsylvania, there are a lot of wonderful things to be excited about, a lot of new things starting. I know for us, as a diocese, we&#8217;re seeing an increase in the number of men who want to become priests. We have 16 studying now.
