He served on the Playhouse Board of Directors for many years, including a recent term as board president during the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p>Erie Playhouse Executive Director Zach Flock said Larese\u2019s impact on the organization extended far beyond what audiences saw on stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarl was a real giant in this community. Just one of a kind. Such a generous person and for decades has been a part of the Playhouse family,\u201d Flock said. \u201cCarl would be the first to tell you that he shied away from the spotlight and was not one to be on stage, but was such a big supporter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To honor his memory, the Erie Playhouse has placed a tribute to Larese on its marquee.
