{"id":214914,"date":"2026-06-09T20:36:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T20:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/214914\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T20:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T20:36:09","slug":"da-vinci-science-center-gets-new-ceo-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/214914\/","title":{"rendered":"Da Vinci Science Center gets new CEO, executive director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown will have a new executive director and CEO starting next month, as the museum\u2019s current longtime executive director plans to retire in June.<\/p>\n<p>Conor Hepp will assume the role July, leaving behind his current role as president of the Chester County History Center. Hepp will take the reins from Lin Erickson, who has been CEO of the Da Vinci Science Center since 2013 and oversaw the center\u2019s $75 million new facility in downtown Allentown which opened in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2025\/06\/17\/da-vinci-science-center-ceo-lin-erickson-retiring-next-year\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Erickson announced her plans to retire last year,<\/a> and gave June 2026 as her anticipated retirement date.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to leading the Chester County History Center, Hepp also spent time as visitor experience director at the Barnes Foundation and leadership roles at the University of Pennsylvania and Franklin Institute, all in Philadelphia, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to join Da Vinci Science Center and build upon its remarkable legacy of inspiring exploration and discovery,\u201d Hepp said in a news release. \u201cThe Science Center plays a vital role in connecting people with science and creating opportunities for lifelong learning.
