READING, Pa. \u2014 A man accused of reckless driving near Reading\u2019s iconic Pagoda was arrested after videos of the incident spread across social media and helped police identify him, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The Reading Police Department said videos began circulating online during the evening of June 7 showing a male driver allegedly engaging in reckless and careless driving in the area of the Pagoda.<\/p>\n
Officers reviewed the footage and identified the driver as Jean Muniz-Hernandez, 37, of Reading.<\/p>\n
On the morning of June 8, members of the department\u2019s Traffic Enforcement Unit located Muniz-Hernandez and attempted to take him into custody.<\/p>\n
Police said he was arrested following a brief foot pursuit.<\/p>\n
During the arrest, officers also discovered that Muniz-Hernandez had several outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n
Authorities said appropriate charges will be filed in connection with the reckless driving incident.<\/p>\n
Police did not release additional details regarding the alleged driving behavior or the outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n
