James Christopher Frank, of Bethlehem Township, entered the guilty plea before Northampton County Judge Brian J. Panella in the killing of his wife, Deborah Glaser, Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta said.<\/p>\n
The case stems from a welfare check at the couple’s home on the 2100 block of 3rd Street in Bethlehem Township on March 11, 2025, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n
Police responded after a family member expressed concern about the residents. After officers arrived and attempted to gain access to the home, Frank led them inside and told them, “My wife is dead in the bathtub,” the DA’s Office said.<\/p>\n
Investigators found Glaser dead in the bathtub with multiple puncture wounds to her chest. Authorities also recovered knives, razor blades, box cutters, and a mallet from the bathroom.<\/p>\n
According to prosecutors, Frank admitted he used a steak knife to cut Glaser’s throat in the trachea area while she was still alive. He then told police he used a knife and hammer to puncture her chest and heart about 10 times because he wanted to make sure she was dead.<\/p>\n
Frank is scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, June 17, at 9 a.m. Prosecutors noted that first-degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.<\/p>\n
Glaser was 55 years old. According to her obituary, the Bethlehem resident died on March 11, 2025, and her arrangements were entrusted to Cremation Specialists of Pennsylvania.<\/a><\/p>\n Details about Glaser’s life were not immediately available.
