READING, Pa.- Albright College announced its Homecoming & Family Weekend will return this fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The celebration will run from Sept. 25-27 and feature athletic events, alumni gatherings, and more, Albright College said in a news release.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Albright College said the Joyce Family Foundation Learning Commons, which houses the Gingrich Library and the Patty Parker Molnar Center for Writing Excellence, will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its reopening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The project\u2019s renovations will further help student learning, writing support, and more, according to the report. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Albright College said construction is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, according to the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Reopening the library is about much more than a building,” Dr. Debra M. Townsley, President of Albright College, said.<\/p>\n
“It is a space designed for collaboration, innovation, and academic achievement, and I cannot think of a better occasion than Homecoming Weekend to welcome our alumni and friends back to campus to celebrate this important milestone.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Albright Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony will begin the celebration on Sept. 25, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Albright College said Sept. 26 will feature Albright 5K and Family Fun Run, Admission Open House, athletic competitions and tailgating activities, food trucks and entertainment, beer garden and community gathering spaces, and evening celebrations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The activities are expected to continue through Sept. 27, according to the report.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Homecoming is one of the most meaningful traditions at Albright because it brings together generations of Lions to celebrate what makes this institution special,” said James Gaddy, Executive Vice President.\u00a0<\/p>\n
