{"id":216248,"date":"2026-06-11T07:27:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T07:27:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/216248\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T07:27:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T07:27:10","slug":"police-investigating-two-wilkinsburg-shootings-high-speed-chase-into-pittsburgh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/216248\/","title":{"rendered":"Police investigating two Wilkinsburg shootings, high speed chase into Pittsburgh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two shootings that happened in Wilkinsburg are under investigation by the Allegheny County Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Allegheny County Police said that they were called to investigate after two women were shot around 11 p.m. near Laketon Road in Wilkinsburg.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, after the women were shot, they left the area of Laketon Road in their vehicle and were picked up by medics near Allegheny River Boulevard and Nadine Road in Penn Hills and were taken to the hospital from there.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/img-7193.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"img-7193.jpg \" height=\"351\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Allegheny County Police detectives are investigating two shootings that happened in Wilkinsburg Borough.Police said two women were shot near Laketon Road and while officers were investigating the shooting, two other vehicles drove through the area with gunfire exchanged from one to the other.<\/p>\n<p>                KDKA Photojournalist Brian Smithmyer<\/p>\n<p>Police said one of the woman was shot in the leg and grazed in the wrist and the other woman was grazed in the leg.
