PITTSBURGH \u2014 Thursday\u2019s blast of wicked weather left a mess in Manchester. <\/p>\n
The storm toppled part of a condemned house on Sheffield Street. Some of it landed on the home next door. <\/p>\n
Now, both buildings are condemned. <\/p>\n

Kind of sounded like a tree coming down,\u201d Tyler Sheinberg said. He was upstairs working at the time. <\/p>\n When he looked out the window, he saw that the wall of the house next door was gone. Some of it hit the outside wall of his kitchen.<\/p>\n \u201cThe wall\u2019s caved in. Stove\u2019s across the kitchen,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n He says the building next door has been a problem the whole time he\u2019s lived there. His landlord says it\u2019s been much longer. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m devastated but not surprised. This has been an ongoing battle for seven, eight years,\u201d Jamie Dietz said. He owns the home where Sheinberg lives.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a liability just waiting for somebody to get killed. Didn\u2019t think it was going to fall toward our house,\u201d Dietz said. <\/p>\n Channel 11 has learned that 1406 was condemned all the way back in 2017. It\u2019s been flagged for demolition, but that\u2019s never happened. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve even seen demo permits there and, for whatever reason, somebody has protested it,\u201d Dietz said.<\/p>\n Channel 11 spoke with a City of Pittsburgh inspector on site. He says Sheinberg\u2019s home will be condemned until the house next door is no longer a threat. <\/p>\n In the meantime, he\u2019ll have to relocate.
