PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 Two people are injured \u2014 one, critically \u2014 after their car was shot in North Philadelphia Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
Police said it all unfolded around 1 a.m. along the 2300 block of North Myrtlewood Street. The man was in the driver\u2019s seat, and the woman was in the passenger\u2019s seat when shots rang out, striking their car several times. <\/p>\n
When police arrived at the scene, they found the 28-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the highway near the car. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she\u2019s listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n
The man, age 26, was shot in the leg and ran off to his girlfriend\u2019s house. She later drove him to a hospital for treatment. He is expected to be OK.<\/p>\n
A motive is not yet known.
