The department\u2019s investigation found that the responding officer\u2019s primary body camera was not properly logged, meaning more than two minutes of the incident\u2019s recording doesn\u2019t contain audio from his device.<\/p>\n
During a nearly two-hour-long period for public comment, many speakers called for an independent investigation, including members of the NAACP Main Line Branch Unit 2270<\/a>.<\/p>\n The group\u2019s president, Brian Reese-Turner, said Jordan\u2019s civil rights were violated and wants to see an unedited video of the incident to get the full picture.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re post-George Floyd,\u201d Reese-Turner said. \u201cAnd I think anybody in this community has to recognize what that means when anybody is in that type of situation and the level of stress that they\u2019re under.\u201d<\/p>\n Narberth resident Kim Lipetz said via Zoom that the incident isn\u2019t just a policing issue, but a cultural and community issue. She criticized the police department\u2019s presentation, saying it placed Jordan in a bad light, calling it \u201csalt in the wound.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe way in which it went over and over again, \u2018Well, the gun was drawn, but it was by his side.\u2019 He had a gun drawn for tailgating,\u201d Lipetz said.<\/p>\n
