Wilkes-Barre Academy student wins investing game<\/p>\n
Wilkes-Barre Academy announced Logan Ritsick as its 2025-26 economics investing game champion. Logan, eighth grade, has attended Wilkes-Barre Academy since kindergarten. He\u2019s also a Science Olympian, student council member and peer tutor.<\/p>\n
Ralston joins healthcare administration honor society at Scranton<\/p>\n
Hunter Ralston, of Duryea, was among the 27 University of Scranton students inducted into Upsilon Phi Delta, the national honor society for graduate and undergraduate students in healthcare administration programs. Students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.5 for induction.\u00a0Ralston is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Health Administration degree.<\/p>\n
Students inducted into international honor society for counseling at Scranton<\/p>\n
The following local residents were inducted into Chi Delta Rho, the University of Scranton\u2019s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for counseling, which recognizes outstanding achievement and service within the profession of counseling:<\/p>\n

Weidner joins English honor society at CU-Bloomsburg<\/p>\n
Emily Weidner, of Dallas, was inducted into the Commonwealth University Bloomsburg chapter of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society.<\/p>\n
Grove inducted into international honor society for history<\/p>\n
Molly Grove, of Mountain Top, was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history. For induction into the honor society, students must have a grade point average of 3.33 or higher in history, and rank in the top 35% of their overall class.\u00a0Grove is a senior history major.<\/p>\n
Students join Phi Kappa Phi honor society<\/p>\n
Briana Dunsmuir, of Hudson, Plains Twp., a student at Pennsylvania State University, and Holden VanDemark, of Hanover Twp., a student at Eastern Kentucky University, recently were elected to membership into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation\u2019s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Only the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10% may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.<\/p>\n
Mubasher joins neuroscience honor society at Scranton<\/p>\n
Sasha Mubasher, of Kingston, was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Nu Rho Psi, the national honor society for neuroscience students. Induction is open to students who have demonstrated interest in neuroscience, have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.2, and a 3.5 average in neuroscience-related courses.\u00a0Mubasher is a junior majoring in neuroscience at the Jesuit university.<\/p>\n
Students inducted into foreign languages honor society at Scranton<\/p>\n
