A pet protection centre in the US has rescued nearly 80 prized Ragdoll cats from a horror house, revealing the animals were found huddled together in \u201cconditions too difficult to comprehend\u201d.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA)\u00a0and local police raided a home in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, reportedly after a call tipped off authorities to the nightmare inside.<\/p>\n
At the home, animal protection officers reportedly discovered dozens of the fluffy, blue-eyed cats roaming through piles of \u201cdebris and trash stacked from floor to ceiling\u201d, as well as reports of feces and urine.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe air was harsh, but officers spent hours working through those physically demanding conditions to ensure every animal could be found and brought to safety,\u201d the\u00a0PSPCA wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

Rescuers battled \u201cextreme heat and dangerously high ammonia levels\u201d caused by the overwhelming amount of accumulated animal waste.<\/p>\n
Exposure to such toxic conditions in enclosed spaces can cause severe irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, alongside breathing difficulties for both humans and animals.<\/p>\n
The charity noted the environment was among the most severe and \u201cunimaginable\u201d they\u2019d ever encountered.<\/p>\n
Hidden throughout the filth, the team uncovered 78 Ragdoll cats and kittens that were said to be incredibly \u201cfrightened and sick\u201d.<\/p>\n

While the community response to the rescue has been \u201ccompletely overwhelming\u201d, the felines are not yet available for adoption.<\/p>\n
