Explore touch tables with docents, learn about all of the cool adaptations sharks and rays have. And make a chomping shark craft to take home. Activities<\/a> are included in zoo admission.<\/p>\n July 16-19: Picklesburgh, Downtown. Picklesburgh goes beyond the dill pickle to feature handcrafted food and artisan drinks featuring pickled ingredients from local chefs and restaurants. Don\u2019t miss pickle-themed snacks and merchandise, fun contests and entertainment. This year\u2019s festival footprint moves into Arts Landing and Market Square. Festival admission<\/a> is free.<\/p>\n July 17-19 and 24-26: Wildflower Fest, Freedom Farms. Pick a take-home bouquet of flowers, meet farm animals and treat little ones to a pony ride. Kids can swing high in the air, navigate the sunflower maze and dive into a giant corn pit. Expect local food vendors, live music and arts & crafts. Admission<\/a> is $20 for the first weekend, $10 for the second weekend.<\/p>\n July 18-19: Vintage Grand Prix Race Weekend, Schenley Park. The Motorsport Festival offers races and car shows. The International Car Show will display nearly 3,000 classic, antique and exotic vehicles. Browse sponsor tents, check out new cars, grab a bite at the food court, cool off in the UPMC Cooling Tent or relax while the kids have fun at the Peoples Gas Kids\u2019 Tent. Weekend tickets<\/a> are $20, free for ages 12 and younger.<\/p>\n July 20-29: \u201cPeter Pan: A Musical Adventure,\u201d South Park Theatre. Soar away to Neverland in this magical adaptation drawn from the beloved novel with fresh, original music. Tickets<\/a> are $5, free for ages 3 and younger. Picnics and lawn chairs are welcome.<\/p>\n July 21-26: \u201cSUFFS,\u201d Benedum Center. Direct from Broadway, comes the acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical about the groundbreaking, passionate, and funny American women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote. Tickets<\/a> start at $49.<\/p>\n July 22 and Aug. 15: Sensory-Friendly Mornings, Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. Kids with sensory sensitivities are invited to explore the Zoo starting at 8 a.m. for a calmer experience. Enjoy a self-guided visit with smaller than usual crowds. Activities<\/a> are included with zoo admission.<\/p>\n July 23: Youth Art Workshop: Watercolor Painting, The Frick Pittsburgh. Kids entering grades 5-7 will discuss artistic themes and techniques on a conversational tour of the museum, learn beginner-friendly watercolor techniques and leave with their own artwork. Local sustainable fashion designer Cathy Olivar will lead an upcycling extravaganza where you will learn to embroider, embellish, patch and mend your clothes. Single tickets<\/a> for Friday and Saturday are $65, weekend passes available, $30 for ages 7-12 years, free for ages 6 and younger.<\/p>\n July 23-Aug. 2: \u201cFrozen Jr.,\u201d Little Lake Theatre Company. The beloved Disney tale comes to life on stage. Join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and friends on a journey of sisterhood, courage and magic that will warm even the coldest heart. Best for ages 4 and older. Learn the practice of weaving in community from elders as they share First Nations wisdom in a collective effort to survive, thrive, and create a more hopeful future. Settle in for a reading followed by a hands-on activity. Best for ages 12 and younger. Registration<\/a> is free with museum admission.<\/p>\n July 25: Schenley Plaza 20th Anniversary Jubilee. Celebrate 20 years with a joyful day of music, family fun and community celebration. The Jubilee will feature free PNC Carousel rides, live entertainment including a 21-piece big band and a special concert by Azure, horse-and-carriage rides, fairytale character appearances, a balloon artist, face painting and more surprises. Registration<\/a> is free.<\/p>\n July 25: Family Fest, Arts Landing. This event features live performances, story time, family pickleball, mascot meet-and-greet and a family dance party. Every summer, Allegheny Goatscape goats feed off the neighborhood\u2019s invasive vines. Volunteers follow the goats to pull up the woody remainders and then seed the area with native species. The event includes live music, craft vendors, children\u2019s activities, goat yoga and food trucks. Admission<\/a> is free.<\/p>\n July 25: SkyWatch: Celestial Navigation, Kamin Science Center. Enjoy an iconic \u201cStars Over Pittsburgh\u201d planetarium show and assemble your very own Star and Sun Dial Clocks. End the night by putting your knowledge to the test with telescopes on the observatory deck (weather-permitting). Viewing targets include the Summer Triangle (stars include Vega, Deneb and Altair), Maui\u2019s Hook in the constellation Scorpius and the Moon. Tickets<\/a> are $12.<\/p>\n July 25-27: Greenberg\u2019s Great Train and Toy Show, Monroeville Convention Center. The largest and longest-running train and toy show in the northeast features thousands of trains and collectible toys for sale, hundreds of merchandise.
