Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 has finally reunited with Big Boy 4012. 28\/22 News Reporter Colby Hughes was there to see all the excitement unfold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tens of thousands of people flocked to the Steamtown National Historic Site for the first display day where visitors can both Big Boy locomotives. It\u2019s a once-in-a-lifetime event according to Brendan Munoz, to see the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 and Big Boy 4012 next to each other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Brendan Munoz, a New Jersey native, said, \u201cThis is the only place where you can see two Big Boys, so when I discovered it was coming here, specifically where I\u2019ve been before, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m just going to come, check out the Big Boy, and take some photos and stuff.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Munoz brought his own model of Big Boy 4014 to make the moment even more special.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt was really exciting for me to have it, especially now that I\u2019m seeing the real Big Boys,\u201d Munoz explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">28\/22 News asked, \u201cSo, is this one of your most prized possessions?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He responded, \u201cYes, 100%, it\u2019s really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/lifestyle\/articles\/49th-annual-tent-book-sale-153734785.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:49th annual Tent Book Sale returns to support local library;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;49th annual Tent Book Sale returns to support local library&quot;}\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> 49th annual Tent Book Sale returns to support local library <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Big Boy 4014\u2019s visit is part of its coast-to-coast journey to celebrate America\u2019s 250th birthday. The journey started all the way in Wyoming, and until June 30, Big Boy 4014 will be in the Electric City. Thousands of people made the trek to northeastern Pennsylvania to see it, like Alexander Sala and Danny DeMaio, two friends from New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sala said, \u201cI saw someone saying that it\u2019s finally coming to the east coast, and I knew it was on a tour. I didn\u2019t know it was going all the way across the country, but when I heard it was coming here, I really wanted to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Big Boy 4014 is the world\u2019s largest operating steam locomotive. It\u2019s one of eight steam locomotives in existence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">DeMaio added, \u201cI think what I\u2019ll take with me is the lifelong memory with my best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">For many like DeMaio, this is an experience they will remember for life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI\u2019ve never seen something as beautiful as this, probably. This is an awesome get-together with rail fans from all the states,\u201d Munoz added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Both locomotives will stay on display at the Steamtown National Historic Site until June 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
