Green Tree officials said their friends from the Crafton Volunteer Fire Department were nearby, grabbing lunch when the fire was reported. Crafton officials discovered a fryer fire inside the restaurant and acted quickly, safely extinguishing the fire with a portable fire extinguisher. No remaining hazards were reported, and the building was ventilated. The post from the Green Tree VFC said the establishment remains closed while cleanup is being completed. “A big thank you to the quick actions of the Crafton crews for helping prevent what could have become a much more significant incident,” Green Tree VFC said in the post.
