NEW BETHLEHEM \u2013 A 29-year-old New Bethlehem man faces drug charges and other citations following a domestic disturbance along Washington Street in New Bethlehem on May 15 at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Kevin Wade Allen was charged with drug and drug paraphernalia possession, along with possessing brass knuckles. He was also cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, Southern Clarion County Regional Police Officer Robert Kelly was dispatched to the scene for a reported domestic incident in progress involving Allen and Jennifer Deitz.<\/p>\n
Deitz told police they were arguing over Allen\u2019s alleged drug use, and that while Allen did not strike her, she was scared of his actions.<\/p>\n
Police said Allen was in a jittery state, and was staggering around and could not stand still. Police suspected methamphetamine use. Upon questioning, he provided police with his backpack, which allegedly contained two syringes.<\/p>\n
An ambulance was called to the scene to treat Allen, who also was found with meth in the front pocket of his pants, as well as with a small baggie of meth in another pocket. Brass knuckles were found inside the backpack.<\/p>\n
Police said they sent Allen in the ambulance to the Clarion Hospital emergency room, advising EMS personnel that Allen wanted to seek treatment for his addiction.<\/p>\n
