A getaway driver who helped a boy flee from an Easton birthday party shooting that left several people injured last year was sentenced Wednesday in Northampton County Court to five to 23 months in Northampton County Jail.

Dante Holmes-Eutsey, 21, of Easton must also serve two years of probation. He pleaded guilty before Judge John M. Morganelli to hindering apprehension, a third-degree felony.

The party occurred July 12 at a home in the 100 block of East Wilkes Barre Street in south Easton. Police responding to reports of a female suffering from a gunshot wound found evidence of gunfire, including multiple shell casings and bullet holes at the property.

Police later learned that additional injured partygoers had been transported to local hospitals, Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta said. Police found more shell casings, property damage and blood throughout the residence.

Police used security video from nearby properties to solve the crime. The footage showed several people gathered on the back porch of the residence celebrating a birthday, when two males arrive at the party, Baratta said. They were identified as Holmes-Eutsey and Yandiel Gonzalez.

In the videos, Gonzalez was seen lifting a rifle and discharging multiple rounds toward partygoers on the back porch.

After the shooting, police said, Holmes-Eutsey ran away from the party through an alley to his vehicle, which was parked two blocks away. Gonzalez also ran and got into Holmes-Eutsey’s vehicle, and the pair fled.

Gonzalez was 15 years old at the time of the offense and was charged by Easton police as an adult. He pleaded guilty in May to five counts of aggravated assault and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, and was sentenced to 80-160 months in state prison.

A getaway driver who helped a boy flee from an Easton birthday party shooting that left several people…

[14
153,155,154,46,202,182,139,432
post-222602","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-bethlehem","tag-bethlehem","tag-bethlehem-headlines","tag-bethlehem-news","tag-courts","tag-crime-and-public-safety","tag-local-news","tag-news","tag-top-stories-tmc
["GET
