Over the next few weeks leading up to training camp, we\u2019ll be counting down the top 25 most important Eagles for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
25. Eli Stowers<\/a> There was some angst this time last season about Tyler Steen taking over for Mekhi Becton as the Eagles\u2019 starting right guard.<\/p>\n Steen was solid.<\/p>\n In fact, the Eagles had way bigger problems on their offensive line last year with injuries. Both Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens struggled through various ailments and then Lane Johnson missed the second half of the year with a Lisfranc sprain.<\/p>\n At least Steen provided some very important stability. Last year, Steen started all 17 games at right guard in the regular season and started the playoff game. He played over 1,000 snaps (96%) and was on the field more than any other Eagles offensive player in 2025.<\/p>\n Of 79 qualified guards last season, Steen was ranked at No. 15 by ProFootballFocus for his performance in 2025. For reference, Landon Dickerson was ranked 28th.<\/p>\n While Steen isn\u2019t as big and powerful as a guy like Becton was during the 2024 season, he was very solid in 2025. In pass protection, Steen had 591 reps last year and gave up just 2 sacks and 37 total pressures.<\/p>\n Steen, who turns 26 next week, is entering his fourth and final season under contract in 2026. The 2023 third-round pick out of Alabama was a key backup for a couple seasons until becoming a starter last year.<\/p>\n The Eagles have their other four starting offensive linemen on long-term deals so they might not want to extend Steen. But with the long-term future of Dickerson very much in question, it\u2019s possible the Eagles could make a move. As we get into the summer, he might be a sneaky extension candidate.<\/p>\n But even if Steen doesn\u2019t get extended, he\u2019s going to be a key piece of the puzzle in 2026.
