\n\t\u201cKPop Demon Hunters<\/a>: The Immersive Experience\u201d is coming to Netflix House locations in Dallas and Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news comes on the film\u2019s one year anniversary. The ticketed experience will open at both locations this holiday season. Additionally, fan screenings of \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d are scheduled to take place at both houses on June 20.<\/p>\n

\n\tMarian Lee, Chief Marketing Officer for Netflix, shared insights about the upcoming experience with Variety: \u201cWith \u2018KPop Demon Hunters,\u2019 the question was, \u2018How do we bring all the elements of the film into the House?\u2019\u201d Lee revealed that the immersive Netflix House experience will feature exciting highlights, including a giant Derpy character that fans can take photos with.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to that, there will be other experiences from the film. Lee said, \u201cMusic is a key component. We\u2019ve done a lot of research, and the fans have told us, they want music, they want singing, they want to be singing, they want to watch singing, and so we\u2019ve taken all those elements.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, \u201cKPop Demon Hunters<\/a>\u201d won the Oscar for best animated feature at the Academy Awards. Netflix\u2019s most-watched movie in history also won for best original song for \u201cGolden.\u201d It made history when it became the first K-pop song to ever to take home an Oscar. EJAE, who provides the singing voice of Rumi in the film, Mark Sonnenblick and South Korean hit factory\u00a0the Black Label<\/a>\u00a0(Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Zhun) became the first Koreans to win best original song.<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix is no stranger to transforming its popular titles into immersive fan experiences. Previous iterations include \u201cWednesday: Eve of the Outcasts,\u201d \u201cOne Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit,\u201d and \u201cSquid Game: Survive the Trials,\u201d which allowed fans to step into the worlds of their favorite shows and explore them firsthand. \u201cWe think about what is the most immersive thing we can offer fans that is fun to do over the course of an hour,\u201d Lee explained.<\/p>\n

\n\tLee expressed hope that the immersive Netflix House experience will provide fans with an opportunity to escape reality, a core mission behind Netflix House. \u201cWe want people to come back frequently,\u201d she said. \u201cSome fans might only have time to try the VR experience or watch something in our theater, but we want them to feel like they can return every weekend or during the week. Creating a touchpoint in local communities is important to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also teased additional pop-ups and events for \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d happening worldwide, saying, \u201cThere is no shortage of ideas.\u201d <\/p>\n
