A popular Hellertown sports bar and restaurant will permanently close its doors later this month.<\/p>\n
Wings on Main Sports Bar and Grille at 605 Main Street will close for good at 8 p.m. June 28, according to a post published on the business\u2019s Facebook page Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cKeep an eye open for a new addition to Hellertown at this location,\u201d the post said.<\/p>\n Wings on Main, as its name suggests, is known for a large selection of buffalo wings and other foods popular at most sports bars and pubs.<\/p>\n The restaurant opened in July 2019<\/a> in a historic downtown building that was previously home to 1774 Grille & Tap, and before that, to the Original Tavern House<\/a>; a popular Mexican restaurant that operated in Hellertown under several different names for decades.<\/p>\n Wings on Main is owned by Jay Tulio, whose family also owns Hellertown Crossroads Hotel<\/a>, another iconic borough eatery on Main Street.<\/p>\n Wednesday\u2019s Facebook post thanked Wings on Main\u2019s customers and friends for their \u201cyears of support\u201d for the business.<\/p>\n Reactions to the news from customers on social media generally expressed sadness that the business is closing its doors, with some saying they plan to visit while they still can.<\/p>\n Customers who have Wings on Main gift cards should redeem them by June 28, 2026, the post said.<\/p>\n
