{"id":224732,"date":"2026-06-22T05:01:22","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T05:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/224732\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T05:01:22","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T05:01:22","slug":"sandusky-man-killed-in-erie-county-crash-oshp-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/224732\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandusky man killed in Erie County crash, OSHP says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO) &#8211; The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Saturday evening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to OSHP, the crash happened just before 11 p.m. on River Road at state Route 113 in Milan Township. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Preliminary investigation reveals that a Lincoln MKC was traveling southbound on River Road and the driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign at state Route 113. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The driver of the Lincoln was identified as 30-year-old Jacob A. Lehrer, of Sandusky. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After Lehrer failed to stop, his vehicle continued southbound through the intersection, driving off the side of state Route 113 where his vehicle struck a ravine and overturned. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">OSHP said Lehrer was ejected from his vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Troopers were assisted on scene by the Erie County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Milan Township Fire Department, North Central EMS, Erie County Coroner\u2019s Office and Central Automotive. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The crash remains under investigation, OSHP said. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WOIO.
