\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGOOD MORNING. TODAY IS AN IMPACT DAY FOR SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. RIGHT NOW WE ARE SEEING A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN BUT NOTHING SEVERE CURRENTLY OR FOR THE MORNING DRIVE. YOU CAN SEE SOME RAIN LIFTING TOWARD MIFFLIN JULIANA PERRY COUNTY GETTING CLIPPED WITH A FEW SHOWERS. SO WE WILL BE WATCHING THAT FOR YOU THIS MORNING. BUT HERE\u2019S THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK, INCLUDING MOST OF THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY IN A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TODAY. SO SCATTERED SHOWERS, THUNDERSTORMS, SECOND HALF OF THE DAY COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND HEAVY RAIN. AS OUR TWO PRIMARY THREATS. AND THERE COULD ALSO BE SOME ISOLATED HAIL OR A WEAK SPIN UP TORNADO, SO WE WON\u2019T RULE THAT OUT. BUT DAMAGING WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN ARE GOING TO BE WHAT WE\u2019RE LOOKING OUT FOR LATER TODAY. SO YOU CAN SEE HERE ON THE PREDICTOR DURING THE MORNING RUSH, THERE WILL BE SOME SHOWERS AROUND, BUT THOSE WON\u2019T BE SEVERE. THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS OPENS AFTER 1:00 TODAY. AND I REALLY THINK WE SEE THE HIGHEST CHANCE COMING TOWARD DINNER TIME. SO HERE WE ARE AT 4:00, 5:00, 6:00. THAT\u2019S WHEN SOME SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MOVE ACROSS THE AREA, AND THEN THEY HEAD OFF TO THE EAST. SO THINGS QUIET DOWN AFTER DARK TONIGHT. AND THEN WE\u2019LL JUST SEE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS. NOTHING SEVERE OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. SO FOR OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST TODAY WE HAVE CLOUDS TO START. FEELS FINE OUT THERE NOW, BUT HUMIDITY BUILDS THIS AFTERNOON AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH. AND THAT PROVIDES THE CHANCE FOR THOSE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS. SO IT\u2019S NOT GOING TO BE RAINING ALL AFTERNOON OR ALL EVENING. THEY\u2019LL BE DRY TIME OUT THERE AND THOSE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE HIT OR MISS. VARIETY SO SCATTERED THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING, TEMPERATURE WISE, WE GET UP TO 78 TONIGHT. STORMS ARE OUT OF HERE. THERE WILL BE SOME LINGERING SHOWERS, SOME PATCHY FOG. TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD IN THE 60S AND TOMORROW SOME SHOWERS STILL POSSIBLE EARLY AS A COLD FRONT SLOWLY MOVES EAST. OTHERWISE WE\u2019LL SEE MORNING CLOUDS THEN GRADUAL CLEARING IN THE AFTERNOON AND HUMIDITY WILL DROP. SO IT\u2019S KIND OF A TRANSITION DAY TO GET US TO MORE COMFORTABLE WEATHER FOR MIDWEEK. ON WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURE CHECK 63. IN LEWISTOWN WE HAVE 67 FOR CARLISLE AND GETTYSBURG, 63 IN LANCASTER AND YORK. OUR DEW POINTS FEELING FINE RIGHT NOW IN THE 50S, BUT THEY\u2019RE GOING TO BE CLIMBING INTO THE MID 60S LATER TODAY, SO THAT WILL PROVIDE SOME FUEL, SOME ENERGY FOR THOSE STRONGER STORMS. WEATHER AND HEALTH CHECK. WE HAVE LOW LEVELS OF TREE AND GRASS POLLEN EXPECTED. OUR AIR QUALITY IS LOOKING GOOD. UV INDEX MODERATE WITH A BURN TIME OF 40 MINUTES. SO SOME SHOWERS RIGHT NOW MOVING THROUGH THE AREA AS THIS CLUSTER OVER OHIO AND INTO NEW YORK, WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA SLOWLY MOVES OFF TO THE EAST. BUT THERE IS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE BACK TOWARD INDIANA, AND THAT\u2019S WHAT\u2019S GOING TO COME THROUGH LATER TODAY. SO HERE\u2019S WHAT THE PREDICTOR SHOWS. WE SEE SOME SCATTERED ACTIVITY THIS MORNING, NOT SEVERE. THEN THE SEVERE STORMS THIS AFTERNOON. AND THIS EVENING AFTER THEY MOVE THROUGH IT QUIETS DOWN. BUT WE STILL SEE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS OVERNIGHT. A FEW LINGERING SHOWERS AS THE FRONT SLOWLY MOVES EAST TOMORROW MORNING. AND THEN WE SHOULD SEE THAT GRADUAL CLEARING, FALLING HUMIDITY BY TOMORROW EVENING. WEDNESDAY LOOKS FANTASTIC. IT\u2019S MY PICK OF THE WEEK FOR YOU. IT\u2019S LOOKING REALLY NICE. LOW TO MID 80S FOR HIGHS. LOW HUMIDITY LOCKED IN AND PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. SO HERE\u2019S OUR PREDICTOR. ESTIMATED RAINFALL TOTALS.
