A victim was flown to the Lehigh Valley Reilly Children\u2019s Hospital and trauma center near Allentown on Sunday evening after an ATV crash in Lackawanna County, according to a post on the Moscow Fire & Hose Company Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Crews were dispatched to the Rattlesnake Trail in Spring Brook Twp. \u2014 off Route 502 \u2014 around 6:39 p.m. for the report of an ATV rollover, according to a scanner report.<\/p>\n
Firefighters and rescuers from the Spring Brook and Covington Twp. Volunteer Fire Companies worked to access, stabilize and extricate the patient from a remote location, fire officials said. Scanner reports indicated the victim was a 13-year-old boy.<\/p>\n
A landing zone for the helicopter was established at the Spring Brook fire station, and crews used ATVs and specialized equipment to transport the patient from the scene to the flight team, officials added.<\/p>\n
