One man was killed and three people were flown to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Pike County on Friday afternoon, state police at Blooming Grove said.<\/p>\n
Troopers responded to the 200 block of Route 434 in Shohola Twp. around 4:34 p.m. and were assisted on scene by emergency medical personnel from Shohola and Lackawaxen, the Greeley and Shohola fire departments and the Pike County coroner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
Francis Connaughton, 65, of Shohola, was traveling north around a right-hand curve on Route 434 and drove into oncoming traffic, striking another vehicle, police said. Connaughton was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Connaughton\u2019s vehicle overturned and hit a utility pole and tree, troopers said.<\/p>\n
