{"id":225586,"date":"2026-06-23T06:31:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T06:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/225586\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T06:31:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T06:31:08","slug":"burglar-nabbed-after-breaking-into-bensalem-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/225586\/","title":{"rendered":"Burglar Nabbed After Breaking Into Bensalem Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>      Bensalem Police said the 40-year-old Philadelphia man had a connection to the family from a prior relationship.    <\/p>\n<p>\n      Jun 22, 2026 11:26 am EDT    <\/p>\n<p>BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 A 40-year-old Philadelphia man is in custody following a burglary at a township home on Thursday night in which he knew the occupants, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Bensalem Police charged Keith Torpey of Philadelphia with burglary, criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\"><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" class=\"article-subscribe-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bensalem Police responded at 9:40 p.m. Thursday to the 2800 block of Forrest Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowners told police that their home was broken into and some property was destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>Torpey was caught on the homeowners\u2019 surveillance cameras and was identified as someone from a prior relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Police located Torpey a short distance from the scene, where he was arrested. <\/p>\n<p>Torpey was arraigned with bail set at 10 percent of $25,000.
