\u200bWEST CHESTER \u00a0\u2014 Following nearly a three month search, Pennsylvania State Police took Tuften Demar Green, 31, into custody on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery against a husband and wife and their 3-year-old child traveling home to North Carolina along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Tredyffrin earlier this spring.<\/p>\n
Green, of Drexel Hill, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, in the first degree, robbery and aggravated assault among other offenses.<\/p>\n
When troopers reached the scene, roughly 7:30 p.m. March 28 at mile marker 324.9, they discovered a Toyota Sienna rippled with bullets. Inside the vehicle was a North Carolina family who had survived a spray of gunfire. Still, the driver suffered a gunshot wound in his chest.<\/p>\n
Investigators identified three suspects: Green, fellow Drexel Hill resident Roberto Morel, 51, and Terrell Adams, 38, of Philadelphia.\u200b<\/p>\n
Morel and Adams were taken into custody on April 21.<\/p>\n
According to police, six rounds of gunfire were shot at the Sienna on March 28.<\/p>\n
\u200bT\u200bhe driver was\u00a0transported to Paoli Hospital in Willistown. His injuries were treated and he was later discharged.<\/p>\n
According to police, Green and Adams approached the Toyota Sienna and told the victims they were police officers. When the victims became suspicious, Green shot the operator in the chest. Multiple shots were then fired at the victim\u2019s vehicle as it sped away. Green and Adams were in a Chevrolet Suburban and utilized red and blue lights to force the victims to pull off the highway.\u00a0Morel had also been following the Suburban in another vehicle.<\/p>\n
After the shooting, police said Green, Adams and Morel fled.<\/p>\n
Green was able to evade police and he was subsequently placed on the U.S. Marshals Service\u2019s Wanted List.<\/p>\n

Police said Green\u2019s criminal history includes simple assault, aggravated assault, robbery, accident involving death involving a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, firearm violations and narcotics violations.<\/p>\n
He was also wanted by the Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole Board for a violation of state parole per absconding a weapons offense conviction.<\/p>\n
There was a $5,000 reward to any tip leading to his arrest. He was taken into custody on June 2.<\/p>\n
Westbound incident<\/p>\n
According to the Chester County District Attorney\u2019s Office, investigators learned the North Carolina family was driving home on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after visiting a relative\u2019s home in Philadelphia. The wife of the gunshot victim said they noticed a black Suburban in pursuit.<\/p>\n
As the family continued to travel westbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the Suburban activated red and blue emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop. Concurrently there was a Honda CR-V driving closely behind the Suburban.<\/p>\n
After all the vehicles pulled over, two men wearing black approached the victims\u2019 vehicle, and one of the men wore a hat with the word \u201cpolice\u201d displayed. Police said the suspects demanded the victims\u2019 licenses, but the victims asked for their badge numbers instead and threatened to call 911.<\/p>\n
One of the defendants began firing at the victim\u2019s car as the family sped away, hitting the fleeing vehicle and shooting the 28-year-old man, police said. Another suspect continued to fire on the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Besides approximately six bullet holes, three of the vehicle\u2019s windows were shot out, and investigators discovered five spent shell casings on the northern shoulder of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.<\/p>\n

According to the DA\u2019s office, Green was arraigned before Wayne area Magisterial District Judge Lauren Holt in Tredyffrin Township earlier this month.<\/p>\n
Green was remanded to Chester County Prison after being denied bail. According to court records, Green was transferred to George W. Hill Correctional Facility, which sits on the border of Concord and Thornbury, in Delaware County on June 9.<\/p>\n
Morel and Terrell both remanded in Chester County Prison in Pocopson.<\/p>\n
As of Monday evening, there were no public case updates for Terrell listed by the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County in the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
