McDonald\u2019s shooting<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KD3BHYGDXNFR5LAEQOARYYTJXU\">The victim in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/allentown\/2026\/05\/man-shot-outside-allentown-mcdonalds-expected-to-survive-cops-say.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/allentown\/2026\/05\/man-shot-outside-allentown-mcdonalds-expected-to-survive-cops-say.html\">Friday night\u2019s shooting at a McDonald\u2019s in Allentown<\/a> died Monday from his injuries, according to investigators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"IGLNLB72DRE5PJNZFV57RDKBNM\">The 18-year-old man from Bethlehem was pronounced dead at 1:55 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7EDDUPBLVZHO5CH4KPILIDKB2U\">Buglio ruled the death a homicide due to gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"DDVQAYPYOFFDBISM7QWK2CBBJI\">Allentown police said in a news release the investigation was ongoing and did not announce anyone was in custody, while noting: \u201cThere is no threat to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HMASWR27UZCSZJJQC2JALY4CDU\">The shooting was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Friday outside the 1321 Union Blvd. McDonald\u2019s, according to police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7QBXOAILSRECZCCIRKKFV5EXQE\">Officers rendered first aid, and the victim was taken by Allentown EMS to the hospital, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FH5LMVHHTJFUVPFXBR47MN6ZKY\">Buglio said he was not immediately releasing the victim\u2019s identity \u201cout of respect for the family, so they may grieve this tragic loss privately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZXHNEG2NMRCE7ALGQAPL64PXCQ\">\u201cThe coroner\u2019s office extends its deepest condolences to the decedent\u2019s family, friends, loved ones, and the surrounding community as all mourn and grieve this tragic loss,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2WQ3CEQDWFET3EJXFPEOJ7KKNQ\">The investigation is continuing in coordination with the Allentown Police Detective Division, Lehigh County District Attorney\u2019s Office and Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YFNKDBN2OVD6HITHMG4MICSBLQ\">Police ask anyone with information that may aid investigators to call the Allentown Police Department at 610-437-7721 or the police desk at 610-437-7753, Ext. 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"3PTIJ3QTORGRDIJVFDTHGAHVFY\">Additionally, anonymous text tips can be sent via the Tip411 app available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/allentownpolice\"
