Walnut Grill\u2019s Wexford location will host a series of \u201cJam At Walnut\u201d events this summer. <\/p>\n
These music-filled gatherings are scheduled for June 27, July 25 and Aug. 14, taking place on the restaurant\u2019s patio, weather permitting.<\/p>\n
The new series aims to evoke the spirit of the \u201cJam On Walnut\u201d concert and block party series, which occurred annually for more than 20 years on Walnut Street in Pittsburgh\u2019s Shadyside neighborhood but was canceled this year<\/a>. <\/p>\n Walnut Grill developed the new \u201cJam At Walnut\u201d series to offer a similar, though much smaller-scale, music-filled day for its community, particularly for past attendees of the \u201cJam on Walnut\u201d event.<\/p>\n Kirk Vogel, president of Walnut Grill Holdings, noted the former event \u201cwas a special summer concert series enjoyed by thousands each summer and was a casual and festive way for folks to connect.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOur new June through August \u2018Jam At Walnut\u2019 event series at our Wexford location is intended to give folks that same experience and community interaction,\u201d Vogel added.<\/p>\n The \u201cJam At Walnut\u201d events will feature multiple local bands playing from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. <\/p>\n Walnut Grill will also provide restaurant features during these events. <\/p>\n In keeping with the community spirit of the former \u201cJam On Walnut\u201d series, the new \u201cJam At Walnut\u201d series will partner with The Educational Partnership as its primary beneficiary. <\/p>\n Walnut Grill was established in 1999 as a full-service restaurant brand.
