BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2014 A country music singer-songwriter who had a double-platinum hit with a song that went viral on TikTok will perform at Wind Creek Event Center, it was announced.<\/p>\n

Also announced was the return of legacy versions of two iconic R&B\/Soul singing groups.<\/p>\n

Country singer Dylan Gossett, whose self-released 2023 hit “Coal” made the Billboard Top 100, and who this year released his debut album “Westward” in July, will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5.<\/p>\n

And The Temptations, who from 1965-89 had 45 Top 10 R&B hits, will perform with The Four Tops, who from 1965-72 had 15 Top 10 hits on the R&B chart, at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10.<\/p>\n

Tickets, at $45 standing general admission and $75 for seated wings for Gossett and $39.50-$99.50 for seats to The Temptations and Four Tops, are on sale at the event center website<\/a> and its box office at 77 Wind Creek Blvd.<\/p>\n

Gosset released his first single, “To Be Free,” in June 2023, but it was “Coal,” released in July 2023, that gave him his breakthrough. <\/p>\n

It went viral on TikTok, reached the Top 20 on the Hot Country Songs chart, and crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n

He also self-released his debut EP, “No Better Time,” in October 2023, and it included the gold hit “Beneath Oak Trees.” The EP peaked at No. 34.<\/p>\n

Gosset released a second EP, “Songs in the Gravel,” in 2024, then released his debut album, “Westward,” this past July. It hit No. 24 on the Country Albums chart. <\/p>\n

The Temptations, Four Tops<\/p>\n

The Temptations and Four Tops were among the foremost artists of the Motown sound in the 1960s and ’70s. <\/p>\n

The Temptations had 15 No. 1 hits and 18 gold records and The Four Tops had two No. 1 hits, including the 1966 gold hit “Reach Out I’ll Be There.”<\/p>\n

The Temptations, perhaps best known for their 1964 platinum No. 1 hit “My Girl,” started in 1960 as a group of five vocalists led by the pair of David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks.<\/p>\n

They first hit No. 1 in 1964 with “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” and later had chart-topping platinum hits including 1969’s “I Can’t Get Next to You,” 1971’s “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)” and 1972’s “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.”<\/p>\n

The Temptations had 19 gold and platinum albums.<\/p>\n

Ruffin died in 1991 and Kendricks in 1992. The group’s only remaining original member is baritone Otis Williams, 82.<\/p>\n

The Four Tops released their self-titled, chart-topping debut album in 1964, which included the hit “Baby I Need Your Loving.”<\/p>\n

They had their first No. 1 hit with “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)” in 1965 and had perhaps its biggest success with the gold, chart-topping hit “Reach Out I’ll Be There” in 1966.<\/p>\n

They continued to have gold hits including “Ain’t No Woman
(Like the One I’ve Got)” in 1973, and topped the charts as later as 1981 with “When She Was My Girl.”<\/p>\n

Iconic lead singer Levi Stubbs died in 2008, and the last original member, Abdul Kareem “Duke” Fakir, died in July.<\/p>\n

The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have been awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n
