Angelina Picano, 18, and Denise Grottini, 55, were shot by 67-year-old Janice Picano before she turned the gun on herself, according to WPVI<\/a>, NBC10 Philadelphia <\/a>and FOX29<\/a>, which cited information from investigators.<\/p>\n Officers found the three women suffering from gunshot wounds to the head after responding to a report of a person with a gun at a South 10th Street residence on the afternoon of June 22, the outlets reported.<\/p>\n All three women were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after first responders arrived, according to the outlets.<\/p>\n WPVI reported that Angelina Picano was Janice Picano\u2019s granddaughter, while Grottini was the suspect\u2019s sister. All three women lived in the home.<\/p>\n Angelina Picano was a student at Furness High School, according to a statement<\/a> from the School District of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n \u201cDeath is rarely something that is easy to accept, especially when it involves a young person, particularly during these times as our city grapples with heightened gun violence,\u201d the school said in a statement.<\/p>\n The district said counselors would be available at the school on Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n A motive has not been publicly disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
