A Scranton man faces multiple charges after he groped a nurse at Geisinger Community Medical Center and threatened to return and “shoot the place” up when hospital staff ordered him to leave Monday night, according to a criminal complaint.

Shaun Terry, 46, faces charges of making terroristic threats, indecent assault and disorderly conduct.

City officers responded to the medical facility at about 11 p.m. on Sunday for the report of a man who refused to leave and then became confrontational with medical staff.

Officers approached Terry, who had been escorted outside by security personnel. When they asked him to remove his hands from his pockets, he did not immediately comply.

When asked a second time, he removed his hands from his pockets, walked toward police and asked, “Are you going to shoot me?”

After taking Terry into custody, officers spoke with Geisinger security and Paul Burke, the nursing supervisor.

Burke said a nurse was attempting to triage Terry when he rubbed his hand on her breast. When asked to stop, he became disorderly with staff and was asked to leave.

Terry then slid his hand up the nurse’s shirt to her shoulder. When the nurse warned another nurse about his behavior, he became aggressive, saying, “You’re not going to talk to me like that.”

Maalik Mujahid, a security officer, said that while they were removing Terry from the emergency room, he said he was going to come back and “shoot the place.”

At police headquarters, officers found cocaine on Terry, according to the complaint.

He remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

A preliminary haring is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 6 before District Judge Sean McGraw.

A Scranton man faces multiple charges after he groped a nurse at Geisinger Community Medical Center and threatened…

[15
202,201,182,139,28,178,180,179
post-227245","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-scranton","tag-crime-and-public-safety","tag-lackawanna-county","tag-local-news","tag-news","tag-pennsylvania","tag-scranton","tag-scranton-headlines","tag-scranton-news
["GET
