North Pocono\/Jefferson jumped out to an early lead and rolled to a 10-0 victory over Dingman Delaware on Wednesday to capture the District 17 Little League Majors Softball title.<\/p>\n
A three-run bottom of the first inning sent North Pocono\/Jefferson on its way. Payton Schmidt had an RBI double and Aubrey Gebhardt followed with a two-run single.<\/p>\n
Run-scoring singles by Kendal Barbour, Reagan Richards, Arya Ameika and a sacrifice fly by Schmidt in the bottom of the second extended the advantage to 7-0.<\/p>\n
Ameika and Gebhardt each finished with two hits and Nora Havenstrite also had one RBI. Gebhardt was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits, walking one and fanning nine in four scoreless innings.<\/p>\n
Tory Davidson led Dingman Delaware with two hits.<\/p>\n
District 32 Minors Baseball<\/p>\n
William Szili scored three runs, and Ty Trojnacki had two hits to lead Lakeland to a 7-5 victory over Mid Valley at Crystal Park in Dickson City.<\/p>\n
Winning pitcher Carson Boyarski allowed three hits and three runs and struck out three in 4.1 innings.<\/p>\n
Lorenzo Maruschock had two hits, including a triple, and two runs.<\/p>\n
Carbondale 14, North Scranton 7: At Crystal Park in Dickson City, Deagan Becchetti had two hits, two RBIs and three runs to lead Carbondale, which scored eight runs in the fifth inning.<\/p>\n
Garrett Cassidy, Conner Ledwith and Noah Brennan each added two hits for Carbondale. Winning pitcher Brayden Bruno allowed two hits and two runs and struck out seven in three innings.<\/p>\n
