An Allentown man charged three times with stalking and harassing the same woman in Darby<\/a> was sentenced to time served to 23 months with one year of consecutive probation after entering \u201cno contest\u201d pleas in two of the cases.<\/p>\n

Matthew Kwatyra, 32, entered pleas on two counts of harassment in two separate dockets from 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n

Assistant District Attorney Amy Cappelli told Common Pleas Court Judge Kevin F. Kelly that she intended to consolidate another 2024 case at trial, but instead withdrew that complaint.<\/p>\n

A \u201cno contest\u201d plea does not constitute an admission of guilt but does count as a conviction.<\/p>\n

Kwatyra was first charged with stalking and harassment in June 2024 after police received information that he had tracked the alleged victim to her residence using an Apple Air Tag.<\/p>\n

Kwatrya reportedly worked with the woman at car dealership in Lower Merion and he had tried contacting her multiple times through emails, texts and phone calls after he was fired in November 2023.<\/p>\n

He eventually showed up at the alleged victim\u2019s home June 6, 2024.<\/p>\n

Police responding to the call saw and stopped Kwatyra\u2019s vehicle as it was leaving the scene, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Patrolman Constance Finney.<\/p>\n

The alleged victim told police that she had received an Apple Air Tag notification from Kwatyra requesting her to share her location that day after he arrived unannounced.<\/p>\n

The alleged victim\u2019s boyfriend made contact with Kwatyra and told him to leave. Police picked him up as he was driving away and took him to headquarters. Finney also said that he viewed surveillance video showing Kwatyra at the residence.<\/p>\n

Kwatrya was charged with stalking and harassment in that case.<\/p>\n

He was re-arrested on identical charges after again attempting to reach the victim the following day.<\/a><\/p>\n

An original bail amount of 10% of $10,000 was revoked following the second arrest and modified to $500,000 cash, but was later lowered again. Kwatyra posted $10,000 cash on July 11, 2024, according to online court records.<\/p>\n

The third arrest and third set of harassment and stalking charges came after a user on a chess game application requested to play with the alleged victim on Jan. 3, 2025.<\/p>\n

According to that affidavit filed by Patrolman Whitney Beauford, the alleged victim reported to police that she was able to match a cellphone number for Kwatyra to the user.<\/p>\n

The affidavit noted that Googling the username resulted in a picture of a firearm. The alleged victim said Kwatyra was aware she played chess because he had previously requested to play with her.<\/p>\n

Bail in that case was set at 10% of $100,000. Kwatyra posted $10,000 cash on Jan. 10, according to online court records.<\/p>\n

Cappelli offered a victim impact statement for the record that was not read in court. Neither Kwatyra nor defense counsel Dan Donohue commented during the hearing.<\/p>\n

In addition to the jail sentence and probation, Kwatyra was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim of any kind.
