Venues around our region are getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks and other patriotic events, as the nation celebrates its 250th birthday.<\/p>\n
Berks County, PA\u00a0<\/p>\n
Berks County Heritage Center, Reading: The Bucks County Heritage Center will host a petting zoo, historical demonstrations, and other entertainment to celebrate Independence Day. The Center will run activities from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on June 20. Berks County Heritage Center is located at 1102 Red Bridge Road, Reading, PA 19605.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Borough of Wyomissing: The Borough of Wyomissing will host their Independence Day Parade and Celebration on July 4 at 10:00 a.m. The Parade will consist of marching bands, floats, and more. There will be a celebration at the Stone House with music from the Wyomissing Band, a pie-eating contest, and more after the parade.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Boyertown: The Boyertown Freedom Fest will run from July 3 to July 11 at the Boyertown Area Historical Society. The celebration will feature the debut of the Bell Trail on July 3, a dance, a free movie, and more. The society is located at 43 S Chestnut St, Boyertown, PA 19512.\u00a0<\/p>\n
FirstEnergy Stadium, Reading: The Fightin\u2019 Phils will face off the North Hampshire Fisher Cats at home. They will play on July 3 at 7 p.m. and on July 4 at 6:45 p.m. Both nights will feature fireworks after their respective games. The stadium is located on 1950 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19605.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Leesport: Berks County Fairgrounds will host its Star-Spangled Spectacular from 2 to 10 p.m. on July 4. Live music from the Reading Symphony Orchestra will begin at 2 p.m., along with food trucks, fireworks, and other activities. Guests can bring lawn chairs. The Fairgrounds are located at 1216 Hilltop Road, Leesport.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Parkside, Wyomissing: Guests can dedicate a flag to a personal hero as part of Berks County\u2019s Field of Heroes and walk among the 250 flags posted to learn about other heroes. The field is located at 1216 Parkside Dr North Wyomissing, PA 19610.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Shillington: Governor Mifflin Community Days will celebrate its 50th anniversary from June 26 to July 4 at the local Middle and Senior High Schools. It will feature over 45 food and game stands, amusement rides, entertainment, and more. It will also host a parade on June 28 at 3:30 p.m., starting at Governor Mifflin Middle School and ending at Shillington Park. There will also be fireworks on July 4 at 10 p.m. The high school is located at 130 E Lancaster Ave, Shillington, PA 19607 and the high school is on 101 S Waverly St, Shillington, PA 19607.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Breinigsville: The American Class & America250 Celebration will be held at Valley Preferred Cycling Center on July 3 at 7 p.m. The competition will host food vendors, bounce houses, fireworks, and more. The center is at 1151 Mosser Rd, Breinigsville, PA, 18031.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Catasauqua Area School District, Catasauqua:\u202fThe Catasauqua and North Catasauqua J4 Event will begin on July 4 at 11 a.m. Various activities including a reading of the Declaration of Independence, flea market vendors, a cornhole tournament, and more will be held throughout the day. An evening fireworks display will be hosted at the Catasauqua Area School District football stadium. The celebration will be located at 511 Saint John Street. The rain date will be July 5.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cedar Beach Park, Allentown: Cedar Beach Park will host a 4th of July Celebration from 12 to 10 p.m. Activities such as live music, food trucks, and more will be featured. A fireworks display will be launched from Birney Crum Stadium at 9:15 p.m. The rain date will be July 5.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Coca-Cola Park, Allentown:\u202fCoca-Cola Park will host \u201cLiberty Ignited: A Lehigh Valley Salute to America at 250\u201d on July 3 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature guest appearances, a flag-raising ceremony, a drone show at 9 p.m., and fireworks. The park will also host the \u201cGreat American Blast\u201d celebration on July 4. Music, games and more entertainment will be available, along with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. The Park is located at 1050 IronPigs Way, Allentown.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dorneyville, Allentown: Dorney Park will host Star-Spangled Nights from July 3 to July 5 to celebrate the 4th of July, complete with a fireworks show each evening. The Park is located at 3880 Dorney Park Rd, Allentown.\u00a0<\/p>\n
George Taylor House, Catasauqua: George Taylor House will celebrate Independence Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4. They will feature living history reenactors, musical performances, house tours, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Admission is $10 per person.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Macungie: Macungie Memorial Park will host a variety of activities to celebrate July 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will feature a kids parade that will start at 10 a.m., a duck race at 11 a.m., Macungie Band from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a petting zoo, and more. The park is located at 50 Poplar St, Macungie, PA 18062.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Whitehall: The Whitehall Township Block Party will be held on July 4 from 3 to 10 p.m. The celebration is free for anyone to attend and will feature a scavenger hunt, lawn games, an outdoor movie, and other entertainment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

City Hall, Bethlehem:\u202fThe City of Bethlehem will feature a fireworks show at 9 p.m. on July 4, along with music provided by the Bethlehem Municipal Band. The rain date is July 5 at the same time. Sayre Mansion will give guests a view of the fireworks from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission for the Mansion is $79 per person and $29 per child 8 years old and under. The celebration will be held at Pay Row Plaza, City Hall,\u202f12 E. Church Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Easton: Easton Heritage Day will feature a reading of the Declaration of Independence, Colonial and Civil War reenactors, live music, and more from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 11. The event will take place in Centre Square, Easton, PA, 18042.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nazareth: Nazareth will host its 4th annual Kazoo Parade, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4. The parade will conclude at the Moravian Historical Society. The Society will host a community festival that will feature balloon rides, the Nazareth Farmers Market, the Nazareth Ukulele Band, activities, and more. The Society is located at 214 E. Sayre Mansion, Bethlehem: Sayre Mansion will host a food truck, cash bar, and more to celebrate Independence Day from 7 to 10 p.m. They will also host a fireworks display at 9 p.m. Guests must bring their own chairs or blankets. SteelStacks, Bethlehem: ArtsQuest will run its Independence Day Celebration from July 3 to July 4. The event will feature food trucks, a Hometown Heroes banner, and live music from a variety of bands. The Fireworks Party will begin at 7 p.m. and is for guests 21 years or older.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Doylestown: The Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration will be hosted on July 4 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Fonthill Castle. It will consist of a children\u2019s bike parade, wheelbarrow and sack races, live music, food trucks, and more. Admission is $3 for ages 5 and under, $5 for ages 6-17 and $7 for 18 and up.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Langhorne: Sesame Place Philadelphia will celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks display on July 4 at 9 p.m. The amusement park is located on 100 Sesame Rd, Langhorne, PA 19047.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Quakertown:\u202fQuakertown Community Day will be at Memorial Park on July 4 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. It will include food, live music, a car show, and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. Memorial Park is located at 600 W Mill St, Quakertown, PA 18951.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Yardley:\u202fShady Brook Farm will host a Summer unWINEd Concert with music provided by the Buzzerband and a fireworks display on July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. The gates will open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m. The farm is located on 931 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley, PA 19067.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Upper Makefield Township, PA, Washington Crossing: Washington Crossing Historic Park will host its Living History Day on July 4. It will consist of a military encampment, readings of the Declaration of Independence, live music, fireworks from 8 to 9:30 p.m., and more. Admission is free for ages 4 and under, $6 for ages 5 to 11, and $10 for older guests.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lehighton, Riverview Park Pavilion: Riverview Park\u2019s Independence Day Ceremony will begin at 12 p.m. on July 4. The celebration will feature \u201cThe Liberty Song- Modern Arrangement\u201d a message from \u201cBenjamin Franklin to America in 2026.\u201d Excerpts from the Declaration of Independence will be included. The celebration continues with the Declaration Ceremony at Marvin Gardens on July 8 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will feature the arrival of the rider bearing the Declaration. Residents are invited to gather for reflection and fellowship as East Penn\u202fTownship honors the voices of\u202f1776. The pavilion is located at 1391 Lehigh Dr, Easton, PA 18045. East Stroudsburg: Shawnee Mountain will host a fireworks display from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. on June 27, along with vendors and a DJ. The rain date is June 28. Shawnee Mountain is located at 401 Hollow Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gilbert: The West End Fairgrounds will celebrate Independence Day between July 2 and July 4. Various activities will be held, such as military reenactors, junk car racing, demolition derby, live music, and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. on July 2. Admission is $10 per car. Skytop: Skytop Lodge will host a variety of activities between July 2 and July 5 to celebrate Independence Day, complete with food trucks, music, and a fireworks show on July 3 at dusk. King of Prussia- Upper Merion Township\u2019s Annual July 4 Celebration will return to Valley Forge National Historical Park on July 4 and run from 3 to 10 p.m. There will be a carnival, live music by the band Plush, fireworks at 9:15 p.m. The event is free to the public. Road closures may occur prior to the fireworks display. All vehicles will be directed to the Phucas Center parking lot across the street starting at 3 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Narberth: Narberth Park will host a carnival, dunk tank, pie eating contest, and more from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on July 4. The Park will also host a live reading of the Declaration of Independence and other evening activities from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. Fireworks attendees are not allowed to place blankets on the Park\u2019s field until 6 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Perkasie:\u202fPennridge Community Day will be held at Lenape Park on June 27 from 12 to 6 p.m. The Fire Carnival starts at 2 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The Park is located at 552-618 Constitution Ave, Perkasie, PA 18944.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pottstown: Memorial Park\u2019s annual GoFourth Festival will begin on July 4 at 3 p.m. The celebration will feature live music, food trucks, a beer garden, vendors, and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Guests can also take railroad excursions at the nearby Colebrookdale Railroad at South Washington Street. Slatington:\u202fThe Emerald Fire Company\u2019s picnic and fireworks display will be held on July 11 from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. The refreshment stand will open at 4:30 p.m. The celebration will also feature live music by Dropping Trou. Elverson: The National Park Service and Friends of Hopewell Furnace will commemorate Independence Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4.
