{"id":228215,"date":"2026-06-25T22:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228215\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T22:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:03:08","slug":"wild-fox-found-in-pittsburgh-familys-bathtub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228215\/","title":{"rendered":"Wild fox found in Pittsburgh family&#8217;s bathtub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A wild animal tried to outfox a family in Pittsburgh recently.<\/p>\n<p>Pittsburgh Public Safety says a fox was found inside a home on Beechland Street near Homestead Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Animal Care and Control Officers found the gray fox inside a bathtub in a bathroom and were able to safely remove it.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowners believe the fox was able to get in through a cat door.<\/p>\n<p>Officers says the fox is healthy and was released into the woods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFoxes are opportunistic scavengers, entering yards and homes, looking for easy meals,\u201d ACCO said in a release. \u201cTo keep the critters out of your home, make sure to remove food sources and cover any hiding spots.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A wild animal tried to outfox a family in Pittsburgh recently.
