Three people suffered serious injuries early Sunday morning in a wrong-way DUI crash on Interstate 81 in South Abington Twp., state police said.<\/p>\n
State police at Dunmore reported that the wreck occurred around 12:15 a.m. on I-81 north near mile marker 193, near the Layton Road overpass.<\/p>\n
Police provided no information on the identities of the people involved.<\/p>\n
One vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with a vehicle traveling north in the left northbound lane. Both vehicles rotated clockwise before coming to rest on the right shoulder. The engine compartment of the second vehicle caught fire.<\/p>\n
