{"id":228392,"date":"2026-06-26T01:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T01:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228392\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T01:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T01:35:08","slug":"man-charged-with-dui-after-car-catches-fire-on-del-highway-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228392\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with DUI after car catches fire on Del. highway \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Philadelphia man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in Delaware after his car caught on fire on the highway, <a href=\"https:\/\/dsp.delaware.gov\/2026\/06\/25\/state-police-arrest-philadelphia-man-on-felony-weapon-and-dui-charges-following-vehicle-fire-on-i-495\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dsp.delaware.gov\/2026\/06\/25\/state-police-arrest-philadelphia-man-on-felony-weapon-and-dui-charges-following-vehicle-fire-on-i-495\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to the Delaware State Police<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Troopers were called to the northbound lanes of Interstate 495 near East Holly Oak Road in Wilmington on June 24 around 10:50 p.m. after it was reported that a vehicle was on fire, police said. <\/p>\n<p>When the troopers got to the scene, they found a Subaru Outback completely engulfed in flames and saw a man walking away from it, officials explained. <\/p>\n<p>The troopers stopped the man and identified him as 27-year-old Isaiah Church, according to authorities.
