{"id":228641,"date":"2026-06-26T09:15:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T09:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228641\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T09:15:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T09:15:27","slug":"man-sentenced-up-to-40-years-in-prison-for-murder-of-temple-nursing-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/228641\/","title":{"rendered":"Man sentenced up to 40 years in prison for murder of Temple nursing student"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 A Philadelphia man <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/kywnewsradio\/news\/local\/20-year-old-found-dead-inside-north-philly-building-tymir-lackey-arrested-charged\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">accused of killing a Temple University nursing student two years ago<\/a> has been sentenced.<\/p>\n<p>Tymir Lackey, 23, pleaded guilty in March to third-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the killing of Milan Jones, a 20-year-old who was about to enter her third year of college.<\/p>\n<p>The murder happened in June 2024, along Willington Street, a few blocks south of Temple\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n<p>Jones was found unresponsive with blunt force trauma to the head, and Lackey was arrested on the scene.
