PALMER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Palmer Township are trying to identify a man seen in surveillance footage Wednesday night stealing a Pride Flag and Juneteenth flag from the flagpole at the Palmer Library.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, just before midnight, someone lowered and stole the two flags that were flying on the Township’s municipal flagpole, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police shared a photo of the person from the surveillance footage, noting that they were dressed in a manner that suggests they were “choosing to hide rather than engage.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police say this was not just vandalism, but an attack on “our shared civic space.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The Township condemns this theft in the strongest terms,” police said.<\/p>\n

Officials say that the flags will be replaced for the time being.\u00a0<\/p>\n
