Taylor police responding to the report of a domestic incident on Thursday found a man pointing a knife in the direction of two people who had made the report, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Corey Bearden, 20, of 33 E. Chestnut St., Wilkes-Barre, faces a felony trespass charge, two counts of simple assault and related charges.<\/p>\n
According to the criminal complaint:<\/p>\n
At about 4 a.m., officers responded to 120 N. Main St. As Officer Dalton Boback was making his way to the second-floor apartment he heard loud yelling.<\/p>\n
When he got to the apartment\u2019s front door, he heard someone yell, \u201cDrop the knife.\u201d<\/p>\n
Boback kicked in the door to the apartment with his gun drawn and found Bearden holding a knife pointed at Elijah Prout and Serenity Vargas.<\/p>\n
Prout told officers Bearden had woken the couple up, knife in hand and wearing a mask.\u00a0Bearden was yelling and threatened to kill the two.<\/p>\n
Prout showed police camera footage of Bearden holding a gun and gesturing at them, but there was no audio.<\/p>\n
Vargas told officers Bearden wasn\u2019t on the lease and wasn\u2019t welcome at the apartment.<\/p>\n
During an interview with police, Bearden admitted going into the apartment. He said he grabbed a knife from inside the apartment because he was afraid Prout was armed.<\/p>\n
