Back to School Donation Drive and Fair Event:\u00a0DCHD is seeking community support for its 3rd Annual Back-to-School Fair<\/a>, scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon. The free event will provide students and families with school supplies, health resources, and family-friendly activities to help prepare for the upcoming school year. DCHD is currently collecting donations of school supplies, stationery items, and hygiene products through collection bins located throughout Delaware County, including libraries, YMCA branches, county buildings, and Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union locations. Donations will be accepted through August 7, 2026.<\/p>\n

6\/25\/2026 West Nile Virus Update:\u00a0The Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) announces it has identified the first \u201cpool\u201d of mosquitoes that are positive for West Nile virus in 2026. At this time no human cases<\/a><\/p>\n

CHIP:\u00a0The Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) is pleased to announce the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) 2024-2028, a strategic guide to address key health priorities in the county. Developed through a comprehensive assessment and community collaboration.<\/p>\n

DCHD encourages residents to review the CHIP, which is available on the Delaware County website, \/health\/community-health-improvement-plan<\/a>. Findings from the Community Health Assessment can be found at \/health\/cha<\/a>, including a new Asthma Addendum released March 2026.<\/p>\n
