WASHINGTON, D.C. (WHTM) \u2014 Pennsylvania will be represented at the Great American State Fair after all.<\/p>\n
The Commonwealth\u2019s delegation to the U.S. Senate announced a planned \u201cstrong presence\u201d at the fair on the National Mall, set to celebrate the United States\u2019 semiquicentennial.<\/p>\n
The effort is through a coalition of Pennsylvania organizations like the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, and more, along with U.S. Senators Dave McCormick (R-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins.<\/p>\n
\u201cPennsylvania is where America\u2019s story began, and there was no way we were going to let the Commonwealth go unrepresented during our Nation\u2019s 250th birthday celebration,\u201d\u00a0said McCormick.\u00a0\u201cAs the birthplace of American independence, home to the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg, and the engine for the arsenal of democracy, Pennsylvania\u00a0has a special responsibility to preserve, celebrate, and share that enduring legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
