On Sunday, we examined what happened during NHL draft week. While many are calling the Penguins\u2019 path forward complicated, we examined the lack of a major Penguins trade, their path forward, and what we learned from it all. <\/p>\n
Elsewhere in the Daily, the Vancouver Canucks are reportedly \u201cdesperate\u201d to trade Elias Pettersson, but the interested teams are wary. Reporters in Edmonton have fleshed out the three teams on Darnell Nurse\u2019s trade list, and the Penguins are one. Dallas is trying hard to re-sign Jason Robertson, and Columbus has yet another player who doesn\u2019t want to re-sign.<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t do a story on it because I didn\u2019t want to embarrass anyone. Our colleague and SteelersNow photographer Ed Thompson showed up for the Save the Nailers rally at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday, but no fans showed up. It was Ed and the Wheeling TV station. <\/p>\n
That\u2019s OK\u2013it\u2019s a long drive, and there are better ways to protest. My gut feeling is that it\u2019s 50\/50, not 100%, that the affiliation moves to Florida. Wheeling is too close and too much a part of the Penguins fanbase to discard it and you. If Hockey Ops gets its choice\u2013as evidenced by Dubas\u2019s body language\u2013the affiliation stays in Wheeling. <\/p>\n

Well, they\u2019re talking. The Dallas Stars and Jason Robertson are about $2 million apart on a new contract, and Dallas is not letting teams talk to Robo before a trade. So, what comes next for both<\/a>?<\/p>\n Boston Hockey Now: The trade landscape has changed for big defenseman Darnell Nurse. Reporters have found the few teams on his trade wishlist, including the Penguins, but the lack of a deal is holding up Edmonton\u2019s offseason. Now, it seems there\u2019s another team on the list\u2013the Boston Bruins<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Athletic ($): Add one name to free agency, and the team doesn\u2019t care if he\u2019s upset. Mats Zuccarello and the Minnesota Wild won\u2019t come to an agreement, and the 39-year-old Zuccarello<\/a> is \u201cpissed off.\u201d <\/p>\n Now, an honest question. Does anyone watch the Sunday night sports shows? <\/p>\n They used to be primary viewing for me and many fans, but last night I made a point to do something absolutely silly on WPXI\u2019s Final Word, and it seems like no one noticed.
