A 33-year-old man was stabbed Sunday in South Side Bethlehem, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
The man was stabbed about 4:45 p.m. in the area behind the 200 block of East Fourth Street along the Greenway, city police said in a news release. The man was found suffering from two stab wounds, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries, which police said are not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
Investigators found a man and a woman in the area, both of whom cooperated with the investigation. They were detained and released while the investigation continues. Police said the man and woman know the man who was stabbed, and all three have ties to the city.<\/p>\n
Officials said they do not believe there is any threat to the public. Once the investigation is complete, the Northampton County district attorney\u2019s office will determine what charges, if any, are necessary.<\/p>\n
