Right now in York County, Newbury Township, about an hour ago is when *** three vehicle crash closed down. Right now part of 83 southbound. *** coroner has been called to the scene. You can see on the map the purple indicating the, uh, the closure of 83, and the red showing that slowdown. This is about *** half *** mile from Yoakamtown’s exit there. And again, this is *** live look from our penat camera in Newbury Township, exit 33. Yoakamtown, you can see, uh, drivers are now exiting off that shoulder there on Exit 33. *** different vantage point here is Exit 32 Newburytown. That traffic also all the way slow through Exit 36 that I was seeing from the pen dot camera. So very slow this morning on the southbound side of 83 and also the northbound side as well. We’ll keep you updated with any new information. We also have *** crew on the way. We’ll let you know any, uh, information there as well. Good morning. I’m News Aid’s Cameron Lobley. We’re live in Warwick Township right now, where an investigation is continuing into *** recent home invasion and robbery. Police were actually on scene earlier this morning right in the area that we’re standing right now. This is Hurst Boulevard in Warwick Township. Their search here has since ended. Take *** look at this time lapse in Harrisburg. Really neat to see the city disappear under some fog. We should see this fog improving, clearing over the next couple of hours. By 89 o’clock, it’ll be out of here. As far as our visibility goes, watch for reduced visibility in parts of Lancaster and York County and then especially north and northwest of Harrisburg. Those little nooks and crannies have some fog in them this morning. As far as our temperatures go, 67 degrees in Harrisburg, 63 for 11, and we have 68 in Chambersburg. and Gettysburg and the dew points are up as well, so it feels warm. It feels stuffy outside, but they’re only going to go up from here. Take *** look at our forecast. We have 88 today, which is the coolest day in the next 10 days. Partly sunny skies, just *** slim chance of *** shower or thunderstorm tonight. We’re down to 70 degrees, partly cloudy, some areas of fog again, and tomorrow, partly sunny, hot and humid, the start of our heat wave where we get to 92. But take *** look at these highs over the next couple of days. It could soar to 100 degrees on Thursday for the actual air temperature. Feels like temperatures 105 to 110. We’ll talk about the extreme heat coming up. Lebanon County Regional Police are investigating several thefts from cars. Police say *** group of people stole from multiple vehicles. This was between Friday night and Saturday morning along the streets that you see here on your screen. Officers say one suspect was caught with the items, and police say they still have some belongings that have yet to be claimed. AAA says the 4th of July travel period is underway, estimating that 72 million Americans will drive more than 50 miles from home through Sunday. And it comes as gas prices continue to fall. The state average just above $4 *** gallon right now. That’s down 8 cents in *** week. T AAA says every county in the Tuscana Valley is below the state average. The state average though, is still up 89 cents *** gallon since the start of the war in Iran. Happening today, East Lampeter Township. Also, multiple fire companies across Lancaster County are holding *** Free America 250 celebration. It starts this evening at 6 at Flory Park. There will be fire trucks, food, and *** flag raising ceremony, and the township says there will also be *** replica of the Declaration of Independence that you can sign. Parking restrictions continue in York this week as part of *** Columbia Gas Project. The state utility commission is requiring that utility companies move gas meters outside and above ground. That’s what’s happening. In York, the city says today through Thursday there’ll be no parking from now, 7 o’clock in the morning until 5:00 in the evening on the roads listed on your screen. Paving work is set to start today on part of Interstate 81 in Franklin County. This will be in the northbound lanes in the southern end of the county, so near the welcome center. Pendot says that work will start around 6 this evening, and the welcome center will be closed until 6 Wednesday morning because of this. Pendot says the first part of this project though should wrap up before. The Fourth of July, which of course is Saturday this week, Lebanon Transit is raising its fares for the first time in 12 years. This is starting on Wednesday. City, county, and commuter fares will be going up 25 cents. All day passes will also go to $7 up from $6 right now. Lebanon Transit says transfer fees, as well as student and senior fees, will not be changing. Shared ride fares will also go up on Wednesday, and you see that the further that you need *** ride, the more you’ll pay. We’re not the only ones facing extreme heat later this week. Look at the east of us. We have all of the Philadelphia area toward New Jersey toward New York, up into New England under extreme heat watches. We don’t often get those, so that means our actual air temperature will be close to 100. Feels like 105 to 110.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
