Just a heads up! If you weren’t lucky enough to secure tickets to the July 4th FIFA World Cup match at Philadelphia Stadium on Saturday, the FIFA Fan Festival is not an option to watch the game. <\/p>\n

Philly is hosting the winner of today’s (6\/29) Germany\/Paraguay game at 4:30pm and the winner of the France\/Sweden game tomorrow (6\/30) at 5pm in the Round of 32. <\/p>\n

If you have tickets to see the game on Saturday, July 4th – Philly’s only Round of 16 match-up at Philadelphia Stadium, awesome! If not, you’re going to have to find somewhere else to watch the game that’s NOT the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill. <\/p>\n

Aside from being a host city for the FIFA World Cup, Philly is also the birthplace of our nation. We’ve got a lot going on. This year for America’s 250th birthday celebration, we’ve got even more going on than usual. The FIFA Fan Festival will be open that day for the 1pm game, but then closing at 4pm for the rest the day. <\/p>\n

Game time 1pm: FIFA Festival at Lemon Hill Opens at 12pm and closes at 4pm. <\/p>\n

The July 4th FIFA Fan Festival hours of operation are limited. Find the hours for each day of the tournament HERE<\/a>. They just updated the hours for this week because of the extreme heat too. Thursday and Friday will now only offer evening hours. <\/p>\n

Thursday (7\/2) was changed from originally being open 2-10pm, to now only open 6-10pm. <\/p>\n

Friday (7\/3) had hours change from 1-9pm to 5-9pm. Plan accordingly! <\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Stadium game on July 4th happens at 5pm. Unless you’ll be in the stands at the game, you’ll need to find a bar or someone’s television to watch this one. I’m sure there are many bars, casinos and restaurants in our area happy to fill in as your watch spot. If Germany ends up playing, the German Society of Pennsylvania has been hosting watch parties throughout the tournament for Germany games. I’m not sure if they would do this on a holiday, but perhaps an option. Keep an eye on their events page<\/a> if Germany wins today.<\/p>\n

The FIFA Fan Festival will be back open on Sunday, July 5th from 3pm to 11pm to show both the 4pm and 8pm games. It is usually open an hour before the 1st match of the day and stays open an hour after the last match of the day ends. July 4th is an exception. <\/p>\n

Find a bar to watch that July 4th 5pm game, or enjoy one of the many concerts and events planned for the 4th of July holiday. You can probably do both! <\/p>\n
