BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) — A freight train has derailed in Bensalem, Bucks County, and people living nearby are being urged to shelter in place.<\/p>\n

It happened around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday between Street Road and the Neshaminy Falls train station.<\/p>\n

Video from Chopper 6 showed at least 10 cars derailed.<\/p>\n

Action News has learned hazmat teams have been called out as there are reportedly two cars containing hazardous material.<\/p>\n

Bensalem police say they are currently assessing the contents of the train cars.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, residents in the area are urged to shelter in place until there is an update.<\/p>\n

People are also asked to avoid the area.<\/p>\n

There was no immediate word on any injuries.<\/p>\n

SEPTA said it does not utilize these tracks, but service has been suspended on the West Trenton Line<\/a>, which operates nearby.<\/p>\n
