No injuries were reported after a CSX freight train derailed Tuesday afternoon in Bensalem Township in Bucks County<\/a>, and a shelter-in-place order has been lifted, authorities said.<\/p>\n Hazmat teams and other emergency personnel responded to the derailment that occurred between Street Road and the Neshaminy Falls train station just before 2 p.m., and no hazmat leaks were found, authorities said.<\/p>\n A SEPTA<\/a> spokesperson said the West Trenton Line on the agency\u2019s Regional Rail service has been suspended.<\/p>\n \u201cWe operate on our own tracks in this area, but the CSX tracks are sort of parallel to ours in that area, so we had to suspend due to the emergency response,\u201d said SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch.<\/p>\n Bensalem Township police initially urged residents<\/a> in the area to stay away from the scene and shelter in place.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are currently assessing the contents of the train cars and will send an update as soon as we have more information,\u201d Bensalem police said.<\/p>\n Images from TV news helicopters<\/a> showed what appeared to be at least a dozen freight cars derailed.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for CSX said the train derailed near the crossing of East Bristol Road and Grave Avenue.<\/p>\n \u201cBucks County Emergency Management was immediately notified and is responding to the scene. There were no injuries reported. Our primary focus is on the safety of onsite personnel, the surrounding community, and the environment,\u201d CSX spokesperson Jonathan Stuckey said in an email.<\/p>\n \u201cCSX crews are currently on scene and working as safely and quickly as possible to restore the impacted site. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation. We will provide more information as it becomes available,\u201d Stuckey said.<\/p>\n
