LOVE Park<\/a> is about to get a major upgrade.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department announced on Tuesday that Broad Street Brewing<\/a> will operate a beer garden out of the iconic “saucer” building starting this 4th of July weekend. <\/p>\n

\u201cLOVE Park is one of those places that belongs to everyone, and we don\u2019t take that responsibility lightly,\u201d said\u00a0Brandon Wellington,\u00a0the co-founder of Broad Street Brewing. \u201cOur goal is to create a welcoming place that\u00a0showcases\u00a0some of the region\u2019s best local partners while respecting the history of this incredible space.\u00a0We\u2019re\u00a0excited to help bring fresh life to the park and be part of\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0ahead as Philly celebrates America\u2019s 250th birthday.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The beer garden will operate until the fall, and is part of a plan to make the saucer building a year-round food and drink operation that will include Broad Street Brewing, Rival Bros Coffee and High Street Hospitality Group, officials said. <\/p>\n

The grand opening of the full operation will take place in the spring of 2027, officials said.<\/p>\n

The City’s Parks and Recreation Department had been connecting with potential vendors since at least Feb. 2026<\/a> with the goal of bringing a local business to the vacant saucer building. <\/p>\n

“Revenue generated through the Saucer will be reinvested into park operations, maintenance, and increased programming to enhance the daily park experience and support one of Philadelphia\u2019s most active public spaces,” the city said. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LOVE Park is about to get a major upgrade.
