<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSevere weather alert day for us. Uh, we are dealing with an extreme heat warning until Friday night. Now temperatures we hit 92 yesterday will be even warmer, even hotter I should say today, with the actual temperatures getting in the mid to upper 90s. But that extreme heat warning is extended for pretty much the entire area with the exception of higher elevations. You’re still under *** heat advisory, which again remains in place until 10 o’clock Friday night. We’re going to be up into the upper 90s with our actual temperatures today, Thursday and Friday, with the heat indices. Potentially reaching over 105, which some areas actually did do that yesterday. So very dangerous heat. Temperatures will dip *** little bit Saturday and Sunday, but not much. Next week we’ll get our actual temperatures back into the 80s, so still warm, but not nearly as hot as this heat wave as we look at your four day forecast. It’s not just the daytime temperatures, it’s also the early morning temperatures. It’s those warm nights and very hot days, and you’ll feel it as you step out if you’re getting up early, maybe walk the dog early this morning. Still very muggy and very warm with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. We do have some clouds around, but those clouds will dissipate and get to see the sunshine. Parkway East there in the corner of our camera looks pretty good. Lily will have more on traffic here in just about *** minute or so. 77 waking up in Pittsburgh, Monroeville, Greensburg, even Uniontown. 76 as you wake up in Newcastle, 75 into Indiana. Franklin and Kattanning at 74. We’re sitting at 71 in Beaver this morning. So here’s the breakdown through the day. We’ll See these clouds break this morning. Sunrise around 5:54. It doesn’t set until 8:55 tonight, so plenty of sunshine, *** few afternoon clouds mixing in. And again, dangerous, dangerous heat will be in place through the afternoon. Rain chances will jump up as we unfortunately get into the holiday weekend. Here’s two extended weather models we look at, and I wanted to show you it’s really the heat dome that’s going to break down. It’s the question on the timing of the rain. Still Friday, we can’t rule out an isolated shower. I think most of the region will stay dry. On the 4th of July, and it does look like we’ll have some thunderstorms popping starting north pushing southward as early as 4 or 5 o’clock. It does look like it could be in and around Pittsburgh as early as 7 or 8 o’clock. So I do think, uh, not only just in the city of Pittsburgh but around the region, you will get your fireworks in. It’s just there may be *** little bit of *** delay in some. As we look at another weather model, this is shown around 78 o’clock. It’s that darker green keeping an eye on, and with these storms we will get heavy downpours, the potential for some damaging winds. So again it could be pretty dangerous getting into Saturday.
